About Us
Readerama is a new kind of book marketplace — built by readers, for readers.
Founded by Georgina Atwell, who spent ten years running Toppsta, helping children discover books they love, Readerama was born from a simple idea: that every book deserves a new reader, and every reader deserves access to great books without breaking the bank.
Georgina and the Readerama team believe books shouldn’t sit forgotten on shelves when they could be sparking joy somewhere else. Our aim is to make it ridiculously easy to buy and sell second-hand books, while giving something back. As the platform grows, a share of profits will go to schools and literacy charities, helping to support the next generation of readers.
This website is just the beginning, we have big plans (and a lot of bugs we need to fix!) but this isn’t just about swapping books; it’s about sharing stories, keeping books in circulation, and doing good along the way. Whether you’re clearing out your shelves or hunting for your next great read, Readerama is here to make reading part of everyday life again.
